Construction Completed on EIFS “Flagship” Building

A couple months back Mortenson Construction completed the construction on the “flagship” building for the Joliet Junior College, 2/3rds being EIFS. Among other things, the 96,000 square foot structure is expected to act as an economic catalyst for the junior college.

EIFS is well suited to act as a “flagship” building and presents several benefits to all forms of building construction. Joliet Junior College will be served well by this LEED Silver building, that will go above and beyond the energy performance of other exterior wall cladding systems. Beyond the energy efficiency benefits of EIFS, benefits range from appearance to durability. With low maintenance requirements a high performance level over time, an EIFS building is far more than a smart decision.
