RECAP: EIMA Shows Support for FWCCA

FWCCA 3

Florida can definitely be a little warm during the summer months, but it’s no reason to pass on attending the annual conference and trade show of the Florida Wall and Ceiling Contractors Association (FWCCA). The 3 day event brings leaders from the construction industry together with opportunities to learn about new challenges the companies might be facing. Most importantly, the trade show gives individuals the chance to network with others on the issues they are dealing with on a day-to-day basis.

For the second year, I attended the FWCCA conference on behalf of the EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA). Several of my takeaways were similar to last year, starting with how well attended the trade show seems to be. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the main event and a draw for nearly all attendees. Though the events took place in the stucco-clad Boca Raton Resort and Club, there was plenty of EIFS being showcased on the trade show floor. Several EIMA members, including all four manufacturer members were in attendance continuing to bring great value to contractors. You may have even seen Bill Kasik, president of EIMA, if you stopped by the BASF booth.

Contractors remain a pivotal piece to EIMA’s membership. Over the last year, we’ve lowered the dues for contractors while also getting many involved in committees. Overall this portion of our membership has more than doubled over the last year with more joining every month.

If you’re still not a member, and would like to be, you can find information on our website.

For me, the conference is an opportunity to visit with members who I only see a couple times a year. It’s also a great opportunity to discuss EIMA activities with companies slightly out of the loop.

FWCCA definitely knows how to have some fun.

FWCCA 4

All in all FWCCA put on a wonderful conference. If I have the opportunity to attend next year I definitely will.

Were you at the show? What were your takeaways?
